#D printer used for making face masks

John Wolfert, Assistant Director of the University’s 第一个 机器人 社区 Center, and Dr. Abishek Kamaraj, Kettering University Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Lecturer, have led undergraduate and graduate students in using 3D printing to create Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for front-line workers.

Kettering students have made more than 400 masks, and Wolfert is continually making Montana masks (filtration masks that can be sanitized and reused) to be distributed to those on the front line. The items are being taken to Factory Two in Flint and are distributed from there.
